Wendy, if you om me your email I will send you the disc image.
save it to your docs (or wherever as long as you can find it)

Then all you need to do, is put a blank cd in your drive (if a prompt comes up, cancel it),
then double click on the file I sent.
This should then automatically open Nero Burning Rom,
click on burn and it should then burn the disk.

Once it has finished, put the disk back in and check to see what files are on it.
It there are the files that there should be, then the disk is ok and ready to go

In future you can try rapidly pressing F8 or the Delete (not erase) or esc as your lappy or p.c start up, which button you rapidly press depends on the manufacturer and the Bios your p.c has. This will start the lappy/p.c up in safe mode, choose the first option (unless it states start windows normaly, in which case it would be the 2nd option), once windows has started it will be windows but slightly different, you will not be able to use your programs or the internet, go to start, control panel, user accounts: in win 98 delete the account of the forgotton password but, you will probably loose all saved work (so make sure you back up priority stuff).
In Xp you could try to change the password, but will probably need to delete the account Ditto on the saved work.
In Vista you would have to click turn user account control on or off, in the new page read the paragraph, follow the instructions, confirm, then delete the user account. This will leave the laptop vunerable as it would not be protected, so you would need to switch the account control back on, and create a new account and password.
