Resize piccies?

On Sunday I took some piccies of my puppy and wanted to show them on here, when I tried to upload/download to here I got a message saying they are too big, thankfully Amethyst kindly resized them for me and attached to my thread.

Sooooooo in easy terms please guys, how do I do that ?

and the "How To" Resize digital pictures quickly
