Delivery status notification failure

From 3am last night, up to 9-30 tonight ,i have been getting these emails,i haven;t a clue why,as i have not emailed any of the addresses
Just wondered if anyone else has had this happen
Could it be a scam to see if i will attempt to email them or open an attachment?very puzzling, i have received 12 up to now

I have had these from time to time. What might be happening is that emails you have sent in the past and are awaiting replies to may have been held up at their destination and either the recipient has exceeded their bandwidth, their storage limits have been exceeded or the address does not exist. I have had this happen up to a week after sending an email to various email addresses.

Firstly change your e-mail password, please ensure it is STRONG. (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/strong_password.html)
Also change your security question.

Quite often these mails are simple spoofed spam, but better to be safe than sorry.
It's a good habit to change your password/question regularly.

Had the same problem last week, random email advertising slimming pills received, then automatically firwarded to most my address book contacts. Seems to have been hotmail hacking, hotmail ended up blocking my account and had to reset my password

Having similar problems but with text from family but that could also be part of the recent 02 problem?

One to watch out for is an email which is identical to the marketing emails Orange sends out to its customers. There is, however, one thing missing from these emails and, if you're an Orange customer, like me, you will know what is missing. If such an email turns up in your inbox, contact Orange Customer Services straightaway.

Hi, thank you for all your replies, none of the emails are anything to do with any i have sent, i have searched the internet,and found others having the same problem,
I will change my password and security question, thanks again
