Can we feel safe with mobile phones and computers?

Today my boyfriend and I got a Facebook message from a fake account.

Mine said, "this is you and .. (the name of my partner)

I know I shouldn't, but I clicked on the video, and it was of my boyfriend having sex and me. We are both worried.

It was at my house, and the only thing I could think of was someone accessing one of our phones or my laptop.

Maybe it is someone we know? How would he know who I was with as he messaged our names?

Are there legitimate apps you use to protect your smartphones? Or do we have to put phones in another room every time we want privacy?

No doubt that is very upsetting and worrying for you. I think you need to find out exactly how it was possible. Most phones are placed flat or in pockets when not used. Was there are laptop in the room, what it on or on standby? Or was some other device used fore the sole purpose of recording you. You need to play detective to get down to what actually happened, then report the matter to the authorities. This is clearly a criminal matter, very sinister.
