  • Work after an injury

    Can anyone advise please.

My wife was injured (liability accepted) and now suffers chronic migraines, which means she can't go back to her old job.

She wants to work, but due to being very restricted (not knowing when she will have a migraine or how long recovery will be) means her choices re employment are severally restricted.

She has been doing some voluntary work to keep busy (totally flexible so not time dependant).

In order to ensure some offset (for some form of work as yet unknown) concerning her reduced income is included re settlement of her injury claim, can anyone advise how this is worked out (average salary in the UK perhaps?).

Her previous role was well paid (director of a large firm), and obviously now her income will be significantly reduced, but it's how is this is fairly calculated concerning the difference between what she earnt, as opposed to what she can now earn.
