  • How does not wearing a helmet affect the claim for compensation?

    Hi,

Last month, I was going to a museum along with my cousin by bike. My cousin was riding and I was sitting at the backseat. We met with an accident. And the person who caused it gone away without hospitalizing us. We escaped with small injuries and it was miraculous. Our bike is damaged. Anyway, some kind people took us to the hospital. One of them had noted the car number of the person who hit us and ran away.

We are looking forward to approaching an insurance claim lawyer in Toronto as suggested by our friends. But the problem is, my cousin didn't wear a helmet at the time of the accident. Will it affect our claim for compensation against the person who caused the accident? Had anyone approached this law firm before? Those who had gone through similar incidents like this, please do share your experiences and tips.

    Thanks!

In order to receive valid advice, You should seek a legal forum from Canada because no one here is specialised in Canadian law.
