Hi, just hoping for some advice please. I got rear ended and have been having physio sessions for an injury I sustained to my back, which have now come to an end although the pain has not. I have been offered a figure for compensation and am in two minds whether to accept the offer or reject it or how to proceed? Any thoughts?

Without knowing the full details, and without seeing the medical reports it is impossible to say what you should do.
Compensation for minor back injuries varies from a few hundred pounds to over £10,000.
Have you negotiated with the insurers yourself, or did you employ a solicitor or claims company?

We feel that the offer may be low, considering the pain and discomfort it’s already caused and will cause for the foreseeable future, especially with a baby less than 12 months and a 4 year old. There’s not been any negotiation yet, but do you think it’s worth me getting a claims company or solicitor involved?

So this is the Third party insurer's first offer
Have you a copy of the medical report to which they refer?
Who wrote that report and what is his expertise?
He is suggesting ten months before you are back to normal....but that is only a n educated guess!
Back injuries can take a long time to settle, and sometimes don't, so don't be in a hurry to agree a figure
What happens if your condition doesn't improve?
How have they calculated this compensation figure?
Does it include time off work, fares to physio etc?
If this is new territory for you I would certainly suggest at least an initial free or fixed fee consultation with a solicitor who specialises in personal injury cases.

You definitely have a claim. If you are seeking for compensation amount you can use this calculator https://directsolicitors.co.uk/claims-calculator/ which will give you an estimate, whether you should file a claim or not. I will also suggest you consult with an experienced personal injury solicitor. He will be happy to give you no obligation free consultation.

I think that you should consult an injury claims specialist like https://lawswoodclaims.co.uk .Because he is the expert who can guide you better in this matter.
