  • Pi injury claim and rehab

I submitted a Letter of Claim (without a solicitor) and they have until Monday to give decision on liability. I have had an email today with an offer of rehab. Would they do this if they were considering denying liability?

    Hi Kez6670,
It is usual for rehab to be offered particularly by insurers. Knowing how long NHS physio appointments take it is sensible as the longer you wait for rehab the less effect it has. Just because rehab has been offered it unfortunately doesn't mean that liability won't remain an issue, but a person is expected to help themselves to recover from their injuries so offers of rehab should be looked at and accepted if appropriate. What sort of accident and injury did you have?

As an aside remember any rehab you undergo would be authorised and paid for by the Defendant. Details of any treatment and symptoms will be documented by the physio for example and any notes should be made available to the independent expert should a report be obtained further down the line.
I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.

Any posts I make on LegalBeagles are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as legal advice. Any practical advice I give is without liability. I do not represent people on the forum.

If in doubt you should always seek professional face to face legal advice.
