  • Wheels 4 Sure

    Hello Everybody
I am hoping someone can give me some information.

I have a personal LEASE car with wheels 4 sure
its our second car with them
been with them about 4 years now !

in February of this year I asked if I can change the car we have to an automatic one as I have bad knees
and I was finding it hard to change gear .and if they could not do anything for me I would have to buy my own automatic car and send this lease car back !
I was asked if I could pay any more a month for a different car ( which I said no ) .
they said to "leave it with them ,when they could sort it out they would let me know"

it is now nearly June ,and I got in touch saying I had brought an automatic car and wanted to return the LEASE car back
they totally refused and said to return the LEASE car I would have to pay £2900 or else basically
and insist I keep to my side of the agreement !

    my questions are ..

    Its a LEASE car
why was I not told in February about this
can they get away with stabbing me in the back

I have all the emails of the conversation ,

I am very disappointed that it looks like we are being bullied into keeping this car

    can they do this ??

    Re: Wheels 4 Sure

    Morning,

Apologies for being so blunt but:

Its a LEASE car why was I not told in February about this can they get away with stabbing me in the back
Why do you feel they are stabbing you in the back? Presumably you were given a contract or some form of documentation to sign, and if so why did you sign it without reading or understanding what you would be signing up to? Unfortunately, pleading ignorance will not get you very far in a court of law.

If however, you were not given any documentation to sign or any pre-contract information then that is a different story but the finance industry is heavily regulated so I would be surprised if they didn't give you something to sign. If you can clarify that position we might be able to offer further assistance.

      oh yes we have paperwork

      my point is

why would the manager say that they could help me out ,knowing that I had said in an email to him about buying another car
then not even mentioning the fact of

" if you buy another car you are going to be labial to us if you return the lease car "

then I would have left it

that's what I am annoyed about

Whilst I appreciate your frustration about the manager, but a business is not obliged to tell you the intricate details of the terms and conditions of the agreement. The responsibility rests with you to satisfy yourself that you are happy with the terms of the agreement and that you have read and understood them - if you sign away without reading then you cannot expect to argue at a later stage you were not told about being liable if you terminate because you should have read the documentation prior to signing it.

Perhaps you could complain about the manager but I've never head of Wheels 4 Sure so I am guessing they are a small outfit rather than one of the large finance companies you tend to see knocking about. On top of all of this you have suggested that you went and got another car of your own accord (though you don't mention what happened between the time gap), presumably without resolving your issue with the lease first. Is the second car you obtained also on finance or did you purchase it?

Hey, thanks for the post. I have found it very useful. Well, for now, I needed some ideas to get help regarding the x ray auto and I think it would be great to help with the multifunctional auto x-ray machines. Thanks for the post.
