If it's been sold by a third party without you knowledg or consrnt then it is stolen. rport it to the police as theft. get a crime number tell DVLA. Try and contact property owner .

Yes my friend, I also agree with you It is the case of stolen. So have to report to police for that. They will resolve your issue.

If the vehicle was stored on the property with the property owner's agreement and there was no written agreement as to payment or otherwise and you were not asked to move the vehicle, then the property owner has no right of lien, nor can they assume rights of ownership. The vehicle is not theirs to do with as they see fit and their sale of the vehicle is, in the circumstances, Theft per se. As for the police, they are talking total bovine excrement. Go back to the police and report it. If they claim it is not stolen, ask them to explain why. I, as a retired police officer, would be very interested to hear their reasoning. Please be aware that when you telephone the police, almost always you are speaking to civilian call handlers who are not trained in law, as police officers are, and come out with mind-boggling statements as I have found when I have had occasion to telephone the police. The best thing is to say to whoever you speak to is "Am I to understand you are refusing to take a report of a crime?" You should find their attitude will change. If not, ask to speak to a senior police officer, which is anyone of the rank of Inspector and above.
