  • Thats strange I got a number 46 stopped where prohibited (on a red route clearway) to

On the 10th of May 2012 at 15.49 I was observed by camera operator RNC/084 stopped on southern kerb Chapel Street NW1. I may be mistaken but the picture shows me parked in a loading bay the sign said I think RED ROUTE no stopping between 7am and 7pm except for loading max 20 min. (I THINK I will check this). I did stop at 15.48 and moved off at 15.51 I know this as I have a tracker fitted which records online all movement. I didn't get out or open my door but my passenger did he delivered paperwork to the underground station across the road which I have a signed POD for by the station supervisor the camera operator observed me at 15.49 giving my passenger time to sneak out unobserved and then I see him call me over at 15.51 to pick him up outside the station on a different road. If the signage is right which I think it is, is delivering my passenger with goods for the station OK?

I hate these people with a vengeance and I am sick to death of them last month a got a fine and a very nice picture of my 7.5 T lorry turning right on a weight restricted road at 7.5 T they sent me a picture of the sign and a picture of the lorry that showed the Merc 815 badge on the side, how stupid can you get I told them this and they wanted me to send them my V5 to prove it so I told them to shove it and take me to court. Funny they cancelled the ticket the following week.

If I have made a mistake parking I will pay the fine but I always read signs before parking in London and I think I did this time its just the pain in the A** sorting it out.

Thanks and don't just pay tickets from these stupid idiots behind these cameras.

You were delivery goods, so i would say yes, as thats what loading bays are for! Simply inform them off what you have just informed us about and see what they say. They would have to prove that deliverying goods by stopping in a loading bay is illegal - I suspect that they would have a hard time proving that. Especially when you have prove you were delivering goods. Just because you were in a car and not a marked delivery van or 7.5 tonne truck, doesn't make any difference.

Funny thing as in a van its just that the package was to small to have in the back so I did not have to open the cargo doors it was on the front seat nobs.
