  • Used car problems

    Hello,

    We bought a car from a trade seller on friday. 'Trade. Sold as seen' written on receipt. 12m MOT 3m tax.

    We now find it has a slipping clutch that will costs 100's to repair when we have only had it 4 days.

    What redress/rights do we have with regards to this?

    Have read this and found it to be useful;

    Buying secondhand vehicles u_take_against_a_dealer

    So I need to put my complaint in writing. If I do so, would someone cast their 'legalbeagle eye' over it for me?

      I'm sure they will.

        And if he is a trader there is no such term as "sold as seen" that holds no water
        If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.
