Hi All, I am just wondering anyone else has had the problem I have right now with a leased EV6 GT line S. Last July I found that it wouldn't charge, it just stayed stubbornly as 30%. I took it to the local Kia dealership who gleefully told me that this error code has never been seen in the UK. So they said they would investigate and two months later they said they had completely dismantled the car, replaced various bits and still not fixed the problem. They also let me know that two brand new cars had been delivered that week with the same problem, completely DOA. So the next step was to get Kia to pick it up and fix it in their facility in Derby, I was told that last October, but I have just found out it is still sitting in the carpark of the dealership in Chippenham. So now, I am looking at 7 months without it. I have been given a Kia Niro (the most basic version) to drive around in since the start of this. It is leased via Lex Autolease (bunch of scammers) who have given a very small discount and redress of £200, very generous. They have now given their final response and I am left paying the lease for a top of the range electric car whilst I drive a bottom-of-the-range (close to the bottom) car. Has anyone else had this unfixable problem or dealt with Lex Autolease? The next stage is to take them to court for breach of contract, but cost-wise, that is not something I am looking forward to. Also it is leased through my company, so no protection whatsoever! Anyone know of possible next steps?

Hi
Welcome to LB
Please read "How to Complain" at www.lexautolease.co.uk
Write an official letter of complaint to the company. State the repair is taking far too long (provide dates) and say you are unhappy with the courtesy car as it is too small for your needs and you don't consider £200 is fair compensation. Also state you have taken legal advice and you believe you are entitled to reject the car and terminate the contract (frustration)
If you are unhappy with their response you can refer your complaint to the financial ombudsman
