  • Is my credit file still affected . ???

    hello

This is old but it relates to BMW FS. I just paid off the excess mileage as i dont have the energy to chase it. I am unclear what BMW are saying. It implies my credit score will still be affected even though I have settled . ??

I can confirm we have received your payment of £682.46 and your agreement is now settled in full.

Moving forward, we will now report to credit reference agencies that this agreement is settled with no outstanding balance. We are unable to remove the previous late payment markers due to the outstanding payment. Your signed contract with us refers to 'any missed payment' being reported to credit reference agencies. You received a final response to your complaint in regards to this in 2016, and our stance has unfortunately not changed.

It does not imply that. It says it.

We are unable to remove the previous late payment markers due to the outstanding payment.

The reason given is in the next sentence

Your signed contract with us refers to 'any missed payment' being reported to credit reference agencies. You received a final response to your complaint in regards to this in 2016, and our stance has unfortunately not changed.

Hello - Thanks for the reply. My understanding is that Excess Mileage is not a payment. when I VT the BMW, it stated that as long as I had made all the monthly payments and paid over 50% , I had nothing to pay. I guess , where can i go from here to get the credit marker removed ?

        That is a different question.
