Is there a set time period once VT is triggered? It is 4 weeks since BMW Finances were notified by Email and by Recorded Delivery Letter. 50% payment amount per the VT agreement was made over 5 weeks ago. Photos taken, mileage of 13780 recorded. In our RD letter we advised that our 3 year old BMW can be collected no later than 30/04/2021. There has been no replies to date, we are of the opinion that a final RD letter to tell BMW Finances that we shall take the car back to the Dealership where we purchased it from and advise that as the vehicle is on the Dealership’s private land, it would be correct to notify DVLA that the car is back with the dealer as we are no longer owners, in addition we can then cancel the car insurance, and direct debit. Does this sound like correct action to take, or am I missing some steps. I cannot find any evidence of long this takes

Have you been notified that they have received your letter? If you are sure they have received the letter then no need tomake any more payments, the contract is ended.
