Unsecured HP car loan

Hi, I’m looking for help regarding a hire purchase agreement that is unregulated. The deal was a 24 month contract and the dealer said we can hand it back after 2 years but now the contract is at 23 months the finance company are saying we can’t hand back the car and have to pay them a final rental payment of £38,130. The finance was on a Range Rover and was for £50,000. We paid £5000 deposit and have been paying £630 a month. Looking over the contract a few things don’t add up. They said it’s a personal finance but have outlined the business section for him to sign an it has his name and later on they have printed owner on the contract for him to sign. My husband had a limited company at the time and they asked for details but said it was proof of earnings. Looking at it I am totally confused. I would be really grateful for any advice.
