my contract states that I have the right to voluntarily terminate in a few months time, as I will have paid 50% of the total amount payable.
I'm fairly certain your contract doesn't actually say this but if it does then I'd be very surprised. The wording on the contract usually says you are entitled to terminate the contract at any time but if you do, then you are liable up to one half of the total price payable. So if you've paid 40%, you can terminate but the remaining 10% will be classed as a debt and you will need to repay that either by lump sum or instalments.

I just want to know whether anyone has recently done a VT with PSA Finance and whether the process has been easy or troublesome for them?
You are asking a very specific question, and not one which is unlikely to result in much of a response since a lot of users ask their questions, get the answers they need and then don't return unless something happens. You are probably better off doing a search on the forums for recent posts of PSA, who can be awkward when it comes to excess mileage.

Also, would anyone recommend seeing an inspection company like Manheim to have a quick look so I can estimate any damages?
Manheim will determine the condition according to the BVRLA standards, you can find a copy of those standards online if you do a search for them and then you can get a ruler and check the car yourself. I suggest you look at the VT Guide I created first to give you a better understanding around the damage charges - link here.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
