Evan's halshaw mechanical and breakdown cover

Hi all bought a car from Evan's halshaw on Friday and I took out the 24 month extended warranty for mechanical and breakdown cover which cost me 400 on my debit card. Now I've got home I've thought about it and now have buyers remorse. Been to the garage to ask to cancell and for a refund, but have been told no, the terms and conditions say' non cancellable or refundable' and there is nothing saying anything about a cool off period. Is there anything I can do with this regarding getting a refund? Thanks guys

Cooling off periods only apply to credit or agreements made at home or over the phone. You were at the sellers business premises when you made the purchase, so you have no protection, only their good will.* So you're out of luck, but to be fair to EH if they've bought the warranty via one of the insurance companies they probably have no choice in the matter.

Ah man, I've just tried the garage again and theres nothing they will do...I'm gutted I didn't think a bit more before buying it
