  • Barclays partner Finance... VT, completion fee

    Hi All,

I have recently opted for VT of my car with Barclays partner finance after 4 years of completing my contract as i did not want to keep the car.
They have now asked me to pay a completion fee of £299.00 which i was not made aware of by the car dealer. Do i have to make this payment or can i challenge it.

Tell them to bugger off, the completion fee would have been wrapped up in the total price payable and you are only required to pay one half of that amount. If they continue to bug you for it, make a formal complaint and assume they don't uphold it, complain to the Financial OMbudsman and also ask for compensation for harassment from Barclays when they should already know it is not recoverable.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
