  • Barclays partner finance vt issue

Hi I am having issues with Barclays partner finance with the vt of my PCP agreement.basically I wrote to them on 05/08/19 telling them that I was invoking my right under section 99 of the consumer credit act 1974 to terminate my agreement due to reaching the amount payable to end my agreement as set out in there terms and conditions.well supprisingly they have no record of my letter so I wrote to them again and spoke to an advisor in there Indian contact centre and told her I was vting my agreement.she gave me an email address recoveries@barclayscorp.com to send a copy of my letter to but every time I send the email it comes back as undeliverable.i have also sent them another letter to there Cardiff postal address as per my agreement but as of yet have heard nothing from them but plan to phone them again on Monday also I have not yet cancelled my direct debit to them which is due again 10/09/18.so my question is what is my best course of action now as I have served them notice of my right to terminate my agreement is it cancell the DD and wait for them to contact me or just keep phoning them.oh I forgot to mention I posted both letters with proof of postage as you cannot send a letter recorded delivery to a po box.any advice would be much appreciated thank you

Did you keep a receipt as proof of purchase? Something like this might be wise to send recorded delivery but you can email the letter to their customer relations team. If you have no proof that a letter was sent then you could be on sticky gorund as to whether one would accept notice was given and it was received by Barclays.

Email is best and letter if you think it's necessary - send an email to the one below.
