        Ok
I waited a few weeks thinking great this worked - then I got the same letter they always send telling me that I have to pay the £700 odd so they can process the VT - despite them having had the car back and selling it at auction #(That I drove to at my cost) - Included is a ready reckoner for me to tell them all my financial in and outgoings ????? I have also had a text asking me to call them urgently. Should I - I am fed up with them NOT acknowledging my letters just sending blanket response that basically says "pay up" so we can process the VT

Up to you what you want to do, if you've already told them that you only wish to communicate by letter and they are ignoring that, then you have grounds for harassment, in which case you could send a letter before action and seek damages and if they refuse issue a claim or you can just let them continue to call you.
