  • VT with Black Horse

    Hello, new to LegalBeagles.

I've found a lot of helpful advice on here about VT'ing HP or PCP agreements and would be very grateful for some further advice.
I am 3 years into my 4 year PCP, paid well over half of the agreement. Unfortunately my financial situation changed and I can not warrant paying what I am for a vehicle nor am I able to pay any matter of large amount in order to end my agreement. I am stuck and at a loss.
My equity is somewhat negative to my settlement figure (£3000 difference) but I am well under my agreed mileage, the car is in great condition however I do have a rather large scratch (15cm long) of which I am covered as I took out a scratch cover.
How long does the VT process take? How do I start the process? And would I be best removing the scratch prior to returning in order to avoid any excess charges?

    Thanks in advance, K.

Anyone's guess, but the easy answer is that it isn't short.

would I be best removing the scratch prior to returning in order to avoid any excess charges?
That would make sense, as you are liable if you don't.

How do I start the process?
If you've read alot of information on here you would have come across my guide which explains how to do this (click here).
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Thank you, I had previously come across your earlier post a day or so ago, however I read so much information I had lost track of where I had seen it by the time I returned to it all.
Its all been a lot to take in.
Thanks again, I have just used your template for 'Notice of Voluntary Termination with immediate effect' and you have made my life so much easier.
