we have sent the right to terminate letter to fca but they have said we don't qualify as it is a motor loan not finance on the car is there anything we can do??

I believe that this means you own the vehicle and so can sell it.
You can then put the money raised towards settling the loan early, and this might be at a reduced figure.

Des is right. A "motor loan" is simply a personal loan that is used specifically to purchase a car. It acts in the same way you get a loan from a bank so there is not VT right because the car is usually owned by you from the outset.
