  • Voluntary Termination - Barclays Partner Finance - Help!!!

    Hi all,

I've read through all the brilliant posts on here telling me how to Voluntary Terminate my agreement, but I have one question before I send the initial letter.

My next payment of my direct debit was due out on March 1st but toady I have rang them up and paid by debit card that payment plus a little extra to take my payments to the half way point.

I want to still drive the car till the 28th Feb, do I post date the letter the 28th Feb, or do I post date it the day I send it, (Ideally in the next couple of days) and then also include somewhere in the letter that the car will be available for collection from the 28th Feb?

    Hello

You should put that in your VT letter and make sure that is clear. The CCA only requires you to give notice to terminate the agreement but doesn't say that it has to be immediate. As long as you state in your letter that you are giving notice to terminate and that the agreement will terminate on 28 February 2018 that should be fine.

The date of your letter should be the date you intend to post it.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
