  • PCP VT next steps help

    Hi,

I've hit a brick wall with VW Financial Services in disputing excess mileage and refurbishment charges after Voluntary Termination and wondered whether you could help advise on my next steps and whether I have to pay the expenses they are claiming.

I took PCP out on a second hand VW polo (2012 reg) and I feel like their claim is beyond reasonable. For example, there was never an alloy wheel key when the car was purchased, and the LHF door was never repaired under my ownership.

I have attached the letters correspondence.

Any advice and guidance would be most appreciated!

So have you made a formal complaint to VW? If not, that is the next step and if they reject your claim the step after that is the Financial Ombudsman.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Thanks for your reply Rob. I have made a formal complaint to VW (see attachment in original post) and I have also contacted the Financial Ombudsman and currently awaiting a response.

There are a two items which VWFS are trying to charge for which didn't happen in my ownership and must have happened during previous ownership, such as:
LHF & LHR Door unsatisfactory repair (never had any repairs under my ownership)
Alloy Wheel key missing (never had one when I got the car)

I don't believe the other charges are reasonable (see attachment in original post) as the car was in reasonable condition when it was collected by BCA.

A debt recovery company has now got involved and have sent me letters saying I must pay up ASAP.

Should I send another letter to VW or do you think my original complaint is sufficient?

Thanks so much in advance for all your help!
