  • Help needed car issues

    Hey guys,
looking for for some advice on my situation.
I purchased a 2013 VW golf GTD with 21,000 miles on it in May this year .
long story short last week the car engine started knocking and check light came on so I took it to my local VW specialist the code is camshaft issues and he thinks it’s a serious issue so advised I take it to VW where it is now awaiting inspection oh and 3 manufacture recalls!
Car is on finance the dealer I bought it off has rejected my issue as it’s past his 3 month warranty
The car was sold with full service history all VW apart from his last service before I purchased the vehicle
vw have said poss no goodwill on this as the cambelt wasn’t done on the 5 yr period which being 2013 car was exactly one month after my purchase it should have been done.
the car was £13,995 and had 21k surely he should have had this done before sale as he was in that 5 year interval selling it on with full service history ?
I do do not want this car back as it’s such low miles now at 30k who says if this gets fixed by him or whoever if he actually agrees to the rest of the engine doesn’t fail in time when I have no comebacks and 6 mths is up.
finance company have been informed they are useless,it’s been logged as a complaint.
surely the car dealer has to take responsibility it’s only done low miles and has failed within 6 months
I’m self employed I rely on my car for work to pay my bills inc car finance
any help much appreciated thanks Nathan
