  • Help needed with Ford Credit VT excess mileage

I ended my PCP agreement with Ford in May this year.

Ford have written informing me that they have investigated my dispute and are right to charge for excess mileage. They suggest I should take the matter to the financial ombudsman if I want to uphold my dispute.

I did send the template letter (given on this site) to dispute their right to claim excess mileage.

I need help with how to approach the ombudsman.

I have opened a case with the financial ombudsman and they have said it will be another 4 weeks before they can look at it.

Ford have since passed the matter on to link financial outsourcing.

Any advice how to proceed would be appreciated.

Hi, what was the outcome of this. I've just joined this forum for some guidance as I'm in the same position. I have recently completed a VT with Ford Credit. I have had the car for 2 out of 4 years. I did the VT because I was doing too many miles. The agreement was 41000 in 4 years and after 2 years I've ended the with 53,000. Got a letter yesterday stating I have to pay £637.18 by the 18th October or it goes to Link Financial Outsourcing. Firstly no break down of how this was calculated was mentioned in the letter and secondly I don't have that amount of money spare to pay in one sum. Does anyone have any advice on how I proceed please, I've panicked all night .Thanks.
