  • Cancellation of pcp contract/faulty car

    Hi.
So this is a weird situation atleast to me, I bought an Audi a6 64 plate from an audi approved dealership on the 6th of March 2018,I took it out of pcp with no deposit. While I was at test drive, I heard some unuual ssound from passenger side front tyre while going over bumps at normal speed 20-30mph asked the salesman, and he was like, its perhaps cause car hasnt driven for awhile,Which was understandable, I went ahead and bought the car, now that sound had gone significantly more and loud so I asked them to take the car back and fix it, they took the car and gave me back after about a month, saying it was all fixed.i took the car on drive and I can still hear a sound from front tyre while it goes over or on bumps. I am actually really annoyed with the standard of an approved vehicle, I wanna speak to them and see what they say about this, but worse case scenario, could I return the car? I have paid one monthly payment until now.

    Thanks for your help guys.

    Regards
    M

Yes, you can reject the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You are allowed to reject within 30 days if the goods are defective, You accepted a fix, while the car was being fixed the clock stops you are still probably within the 30 days. Tell the finance company, copy the dealer, that you are rejecting under the Act and expect your money back in total.

      Thanks so much ostell.
Would it leave anything on my credit history, would I be able to get something from audi right after since I need the car after all.

      Thanks.

It will not leave anything on your credit, you're rejecting a defective car.
