After phoning up and being told I can VT at anytime (car does not have to be half paid for) I requested the VT pack to be sent out to me and I think I am going to go ahead with VT'ing my car. My question is: all of my tyres are pretty worn (Barely legal), will gmac fine me for this or are tyres not part of the car inspection when on collection. cheers

The BVRLA guidelines just say that the tyres must be legal, my front tyres had around 2mm so just legal but I've changed them anyway just in case, I figured it would be cheaper for me to put some cheap new tyres on than risk the finance company claiming they're under and charging me some ridiculous amount. VTing my car is definitely one of the most stressful things I've ever done, I'm convinced I'm going to be billed for thousands!
