I've received a Parking Charge Notice from Met Parking in Southall, London for £100 (reduced to £60 if paid quickly). The alleged offence occurred on 7th February 2016. The car was parked for some hours i believe.
The thing is that there were apparently 2 parking meters, and both were covered over with covers saying Out of Order. The driver went to both meters with coins ready, and looked for another meter - but there were none. There was an option on the car par notice to pay by phone, but the driver was not really familiar with this and tried once before and found it to be very time consuming.
So I'm wondering if I have a case with Popla. Or, what about the option of ignoring the notice? I haven't done anything yet.
All help greatly appreciated!
