Hello, I'm new and was hoping for some advice.
I've just received a parking charge notice from MET Parking Services for £50 (or £100 if paid after 14 days). The 'incident' occurred at Gatwick airport McDonald's. My mother was driving my car to collect me and went to McDonald's to kill some time, not noticing the 60 minute maximum stay. Apparently she overstayed by almost an hour.
The notice they have provided displays two photographs. The first photo clearly shows my vehicle entering the sight. The second image, of my car supposedly leaving the site almost 2 hours later, fails to display the vehicles number plate as it is not in frame. There is an attached image of my number plate displayed underneath, but it is neither date nor time stamped.
I was wondering, can MET Parking Services really use this as evidence of overstay, and is the case worth appealing?
Thanks
