My son parked at a station car park and attempted to buy a ticket online, the only means of purchasing a ticket as all machines have been removed from the station. The system failed, but their terms and conditions allows for late purchase up to 24hrs after parking. When he returned to the vehicle after 8hrs there was a parking ticket on the windscreen. He has appealed to the operator, but this has been rejected m. It appears that POPLA is now the operators marking their own homework. Does he have good grounds for a successful POPKA appeal?

He should certainly follow the POPLA appeal, he should collect evidence on the parking 'failure'. POPLA may uphold his complaint but don't hold your breath...
The likely outcome will be a court claim which he should defend and will eventually likely succeed. Keep us updated."Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012
