  • Wrong or confusing address provided on Notice

    Good morning,

First, I’ve read many posts on this site, I note that some of you work tirelessly to advice and support people like me; thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I have received a Notice from G24 relating to ‘parking without a valid permit…’

The address of the ‘private property’ provided by G24 is wrong, in that, the post code relates to a different location/street.

If I draw this to the attention of G24, are they bound to cancel the existing Notice and issue a new one?

If so (assuming the new Notice is over the 14 day limit from date of alleged violation), can I use that as an appeal?

You can use the incorrect location in your appeal. Contrary to 9 (2) (a) of POFA

You have to receive the notice within 14 days no matter what

Many thanks Ostell, to confirm, if I alert them to the error and they just go ahead with the existing (wrong address) notice, is that grounds for appeal.

or only if they issue a new notice, after the 14 days have elapsed?

Appeal just before the 14 days is up so that they can't reissue in time
