RECIEVED PCN even though I was a member at the gym

I entered a private car park. if you are a member of the gym you are exempt from the parking restrictions and can park for free, for three hours. However the tablet did not capture my registration number hence a PNC. Can you please advise the best way to contest this penalty, I have already appealed and provided an entry log to prove that I was onsite however they will not take that as grounds for dismissal. if you have ever been in a similar situation or have any legal knowledge, I would really appreciate your advice. This is a common problem, has your number plate go zeroes, ohs L or ones?

Thank you, I wrote an email to the manger, of the gym today hopefully he is able to resolve the issue as I have a limited amount of time before I can make second appeal.

...and yes, my number plate has a zero in it. Maybe there was a typo

A personal visit is usually better than an email. If it is BPA then they are supposed to ignore a single digit error.
