Hi there,
I have two met parking charges that have come in the post. The first one came around the 21st of April and then the most recent one came today. With the first ticket I didn't appeal it because I saw on one of the forums online that I should ignore it and they'll stop writing and now they've written to me again saying that the time to appeal has passed and the amount of £100 is now overdue and should pay within 7days. The second ticket came today for the same amount of £100 at the same Krispy Kreme car park in Enfield.
What really confused me is that i was in the same car park with my friend who also drove and she never got a penalty letter in the post. This just makes me believe that I shouldn't pay any of them because this is just ridiculous.

Please could you help, or anyone who has been in the same situation as me. I'm freaking out! 🙁

Yazzie, it would help if you started your own thread on this so as not to confuse the still active problems of nobody_uk. You seem to have a completely different set of circumstances.

Ignore has not been good advice since late 2012

Contact the KK manager for both but it's too late to appeal the first one.

http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/MET_P..._Services.html as you can see, Met are not litigious as yet so ignoring is not a terrible option but who knows if that'll change at any time before the cause of action becomes statute barred (6 years)

i have two things:

1. I have spoken to one of the mangers at KK who has said to bring the ticket in so they can look over it and maybe authorise it to be cancelled... However, they told me that they authorise parking up until midnight but the ticket stated that i had entered the car park at 23.20pm and left at 01.27am. If they don't cancel it then i should go ahead and appeal using the link you provided in your initial response, requesting a POPLA?
2. in regards to the original ticket that I thought i was to ignore, and can no longer appeal. Is there anything else i can do to get the ticket cancelled and not have to pay the £100, or will i have to pay up?

I am so confused when it comes to these things and i just panic. These are my first parking tickets, so I'm out of the loop when it comes to knowing what to do but i really appreciate you taking the time out to help.

1. Yes.

2. Was that past midnight too ?

There is nothing you can do if out of time to appeal and KK won't help other than pay or ignore.

hi,

it says that i entered at 18:54 and exited at 21:15. So it was before midnight but still over the time limit.

If i continue to ignore these letters could they take me to court or is it better to just pay it and get it done and dusted.

They could but as the link i posted earlier shows, they haven't had the balls to get anyone in court so far. What did KK say about this one ?

All KK have said is to bring them in for them to look over and then i guess we will take it from there.

It's been a while since my last post. Just wanted to thank you for your advice on my parking tickets.

I Managed to get hold of the Krispy Kreme manager and emailed him the tickets as well as receipts for proof of purchase for both tickets. He has just emailed me back to say that he has cancelled both the overdue ticket and the most recent one too!!
