Hi all,
I was hoping you could help me about a Parking Charge Notice I received from a company called PREMIER PARK.
I got that while I was parked on MY allocated parking space in MY building’s car park. (I rent my flat to my landlady who “owns” the parking space). And the reason is that there was no parking permit on display. They are asking for £100, reduced to £60 if I was paying early. They got my details from the DVLA and sent the letter at my home.
The thing is, there was a parking permit on display, but it was in front of the little screen in the middle of my dashboard. So in a first instance you might think it I not there, but if you approach the car closer, you will see it, looking from the windscreen, not even a need to go to the side windows.
I am tired of this ambient racket towards honest people so I sent an appeal to the company, on the grounds that the permit was here and I attached pictures that I took to show the situation. That appeal was rejected and they extended the “reduced amount time” until the 18th of February.
So I want to apply through POPLA, only I want to be sure to make it right because after reading some of the threads of the forum, I realised there was more things to say.
I checked and there are signs properly displayed in that parking so that’s not a ground for appeal.
Let me know if you would like me to post the letters and photos on this thread, that would probably help.
Also, if this matter is ever taken into court and they rule that I have to pay, how much should I expect the fine would be?

- First thing being still hammering the fact that my permit WAS on display. They took a lot of pictures, even from the side of the car, carefully hiding the permit behind the car door.
- Second: they are asking for £100 but how can they justify that amount? That parking is only for residents so nobody pays on the spot. And since this is my parking space nothing has been done wrong.
