Spent some time checking the register and found a number of similar cases which highlight signs not being correctly positioned or obscured:
2140453977, 2140477658, 2150046481, 2150045875, 2150022304, 2150073203, 2150071900, 2150069895
The last one is particularly relevant since it mentions the signs not facing the oncoming traffic.

Every person like you who beats the scammers is an incentive to everyone else.
I understand that 99% of folks receiving a PCN just pay up.

Finally had both responses. Both first appeals rejected. 1st ticket was overturned after 2nd appeal in the council's words they were being kind because I'd only recently moved in. The 2nd ticket they still wanted me to pay.

I asked for a meeting with an adjudicator and found out Friday the council have now decided note to contest it because the sign is facing the pavement.

Yup both of mine overturned. As far as I know my neighbour paid hers.
