  • Parking Eye Morrisons _ Won

    Hi
18 months ago Morrisons opened a new local store in our village there is a small car park behind the store which was free from day one and remains so to this day, without me or it seems anybody else being aware Parking Eye have put up signs and cameras and have caught me out with a £85 charge for overstaying a new 45 minute time limit, The signs and time limit were only known to me after the receipt of the parking charge letter ? I have learned today one of the girls who works there was even caught out !. Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

    Re: Parking Eye Morrisons

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver, whom i am under no statutory obligation to name, was a customer of the store (see attached copy of receipt) and was also not parked for the duration claimed as they had to drive around a very busy car park to find a space. In any event your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

Should you get a popla code please come back for more advice.

As it's a new site get photos of the signs and make sure they are there !

Also give the Morrisons CS a visit and see if they value your custom.

Perhaps also contact the council as the planning permission may have required free parking for longer.
