    Hi M1,
I'll send a letter to the court tomorrow (15th June) letting them know that I have never received a DQ from the claimant. Am I right in thinking this should have been supplied to me by a given date as directed by the court / legal system?

        Hi M1,

I have prepared a short letter for the court :

        <Start>

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        Ref: Claim Number XXXXXXXX

Debt Enforcement & Action Limited (1st Claimant Ref: XXXXXXXXX)

        Vs.

        XXXXXXXXXX (1st Defendant Ref: XXXXXXXXXXX)

I am defending the above case and still awaiting receipt of a Directions Questionnaire from the claimant. It is my understanding that a copy of this document should have been supplied to me as directed by the court and within a given timescale.

        Your faithfully,

        XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

        <End>

I haven't sent this letter today as intended as I just wanted to run something by you first.

Although we have never received a copy of the claimants DQ, you may recall on 15/05/15, we received a witness statement from Ashley Cohen together with a revised schedule of costs (post #98).

In light of this, would you still send the letter and if so, why?

Is the draft letter alright as it is - if not, please advise of any necessary changes.

It's only to bring it to the attention of the court in the small hope they do something about it. The witness bullshit etc has no bearing on it at all.

Phone up and get an email address, they may even take note over the phone.

              Hi M1,

Thank you for leading me to victory...

I will contact the court prior to the hearing date (1st July) just to be on the safe side.

Sweet. Have a rake around the finished deal cases and send a letter for costs, they can only say no

                  Hi M1,
I knew you'd be pleased with this update
At what point is the case over and done with?
Have I read somewhere they can send a notice of discontinuance and later start a fresh claim?

It is over now. Keep the notice of discontinuance in a drawer in case you need it but it is unlikely.

They'd need the permission of the court to start again. They won't.

                        M1,
                        Just for the record...
Nothing heard from the court to date - thought I would leave it as late a possible before chasing them up... the court office closes at 5pm today so I them rang at 4.40pm. They confirmed they had received DEAL's Notice of Discontinuance some ten days ago but offered no apology for failing to inform me that I am not required to attend the scheduled hearing tomorrow. This means that had I not taken the initiative to contact them today, I would have had a wasted journey tomorrow. Seems to me it's all a bit one-sided when it comes to dealing with courts... do this by, do that by (or else) but far from perfect themselves - that's justice for you!

Very poor indeed. Lets hope they come through on costs.

                              Hi M1,
                              Quick update..

Re. costs.. received standard letter from the court today advising application for costs requires N244 and appropriate fee - oh well, nothing ventured...nothing gained...

I'm trying to find an address for DEAL (some say the Baker Street, London address is a fake address above Costa Coffee).

I have a letter for them and would hate to think they might not get it in time after everything they've done for me!

                              Hahahahaha

And then, thinking ahead... Christmas will be here before we know it - what about their card!

                                Bugger.

Their address should be on the claim form or Google companies house beta and find the registered office.
