  • £200 Airport Rapid Drop Off. Pick up fine.

Lost APCOA appeal for drop off and pick up fine at EMA for total 7 mins duration Ready to pay at exit as on previous visits. Noticed barriers were in upright position so assumed technical problem same a week later on pick up
It appears ema had changed drop off and pick up charge system. I was not aware Now have pay online. Was not aware of this. First PCN came three days after pick up. In May 2025 Ema released statement
that barriers had been removed . They were still in place June 2025 .APACOA sent me photocopy of signage The new rapid drop off charges and payment is written on the bottom of the signage is so small you
have to get out of your car to read it . Is there any point going to POPLA?
PS I have been told that barriers have been removed August 2025 and Neon light signage been implemented. Coincidence?

You have nothing to lose by appealing to POPLA, so why not.

If you are basing your appeal on the inadequacy of the signage, obtain as much information and evidence as you can.
assume you use this area often, so stress that and point out there were no clear and adequate warning warning signs that the procedure had changed, and that now belatedly they have upgraded the signage.

I suppose in your appeal you identified yourself as the driver.
