  • Thanks to LegalBeagles re. UKCPS

Last March I was issued with an NTK letter from UKCPS who were demanding payment because they alleged I had illegally parked in a disabled bay without the necessary Blue Badge I disputed this for various reasons. I used this site to seek advice - which I have followed - & am pleased to say that UKCPS seem to have accepted that they cannot win their claim as they have not contacted me with an further threats from them or their collection agents for the last few months. UKCPS tried all sorts of letters & use of collection agencies which had become a bit worrying, but Legal Beagles assistance was very useful. Thanks primarily to Ostell & Charitynjw.
If any reader has similar problems regarding parking issues & are genuinely innocent of any alleged offence then go with any advice this site offers & you should be OK. ( However, if you did commit an offence you should just pay up & move on). Having said that you should be aware that any parking company like UKCPS must follow certain rules & if they get their paperwork / processes wrong you can avoid payment legitimately even if you were in the wrong!
    Thank you LB's.
