  • Help with MET fine

    Hi

im hoping to get some advise with the attached parking notice recieved. First and foremost I would like to state this was issued for parking in a gym car park, a gym I am a member of and pay to use. The breach of conditions is failure to register my number plate upon arrival at the front desk.

In my haste I appealed on the met website in the grounds that I am a paying member of the gym and therefore shouldn’t be fined however this has been rejected. I now have revived my POPLA code and am looking for advise before appealing. In addition I have contacted the gym asking for assistance however they are unwilling to contact MET on my behalf

any advise will be greatly appreciated

Apologies I’m having some issues with posting from my phone. In short the signs in car park say:

parking is is reserved for gym member up to 3.5 hours with no return within the hour.

customers must register their cars at reception on arrival (where I have apparently breached the terms)

a few other conditions stating you must park between the lines, disabled badge rules etc,

failure to to comply with rules will result in £100 fine

        Was the term breached?
        If so, why?

Best not to ID who was driving.

Did they use the word 'fine(d)'?
