  • Debt Enforcement and Action LTD Court Hearing

I am in similar situation. Threatened with court action unless I settle now. I submitted my defence ito Northampton Court in February 2015 and notified DEAL of my new address but the latest letter I recieved was forwarded from my old address. It was dated in May. Does anyone have an smail address for DEAL as I want evidence that they have recieved notification of my new address. I could phone them but how do I know they wont deliberately send correspondence to my old address knowing I wont recieve it in time?

Write to the address on the claim form.

Keep all evidence and notes on this as it will come in very handy should you win or they pull out. It certainly furthers any claim that they are acting unreasonably and that has consequences for them when you ask for costs.

    (2) The court may not order a party to pay a sum to another party in respect of that other party’s costs, fees and expenses, including those relating to an appeal, except

    (g) such further costs as the court may assess by the summary procedure and order to be paid by a party who has behaved unreasonably
