I just wanted to say thank you so much DES8 - I've heard nothing from them since I submitted the defence - so guess they've dropped the case

Sorry to disappoint you but it might not be over yet
The claimant has 14 days in which to respond after a defence is filed.
However they do not have to respond, and the case will continue, unless they notify the court otherwise.

You should receive a "Directions Questionnaire" from the court, or be advised that it has been discontinued, so it might be worthwhile contacting the court to see what is happening.
The courts aren't the quickest off the mark, but post does go adrift, so I would check.

You're right - I spoke too soon! I just received an email from DCB legal regards their intent to proceed and their N180. So I'll just wait for mine to arrive.....

You can download form N180 (https://www.gov.uk/government/public...l-claims-track) and file with court and serve on DCBL.
No need to wait for court to send you one
