2 x claims issued on the same date?
Are they for (largely) the same subject? (Times/dates excepted).

charitynjw yes both claims issued on the same day and both for pretty much the same subject.

Imho you could argue an abuse of process & an attempt to double-recover fees.
Have you sent the request for documentation yet?
You need to keep an eye on the deadline for filing your defence.

No, I am just putting the letter to request documents together now. Do you think its best to write a separate letter for each claim or just one letter for both claims? I'm guessing one will be better in terms of what you have said above.

I have already paid out for a previous claim too - I only paid it because I didn't want the ccj to remain on my credit score so I paid within 30 days - even though I didn't agree with it.

28 days from acknowledgement is 14th June.

                      Ok.
Why only 1 court claim reference?

I was just waiting to see if I should send separate letter for each claim or group them together on the one letter. Wasn't sure which was best

I would quote both references on one letter if it was me.

The deadline for filing defence is 14th June. I'm nervous about doing this and would appreciate any help.

No response from DCB Legal re. my request for documentation ie non production of evidence that is essential for assessment of legal position.
Need to argue an abuse of process & an attempt to double-recover fees. - help with this appreciated

What else should I be including in my defence at this point? Have gone through examples of defences in past posts but if anyone can point me in the direction of some further examples / guidance I'd be grateful

                              Thankyou

If there are 2 seperate court claims in play, for now you need to defend both.
If it were me I'd put a cross reference in both to show their attempts at trying to get double bubble.
Holding defences for both should be fine.
After all, how can you properly defend when they refuse (or are reluctant) to disclose evidence?
It would be an idea to bang off a reminder to them, esp if you can do so by email.
