  • SiP parking fine Manchester

    Hi all,
Received a notice to keeper today from a local car park for "insufficient fee paid". Unfortunately it was paid for late on the day, but also misclicked and hit 12 hours rather than 24 hours - have the receipt for this. Difference in cost was £1, now hit with a £100 fine (£60 reduced).

Just wondering if POFA applies here to transfer liability to keeper given no actual mention of protection of freedoms act. Just says "if, after the period of 28 days...we have the right to recover from you". Should it specifically mention POFA?

Also no photo of sign, is this not required under POFA for transferring liability?

    Thanks in advance.

Could you please repost the pictures, this time without redacting dates and times?

They do not need to mention PoFA 2012specifically, nor to include photos of the sign, but I think there might be failures to comply but do need to see times and dates

        Thanks for complete pictures.
Unfortunately they do seem to have complied with all the PoFA requirements.(I was hoping they might not have included a defined period as the notice referred to a period immediately preceding...This wording is often used when a period is not shown.)

your best chance IMO is to appeal to their better nature (not common in parking companies) and explain your inadvertent error due to poor light or whatever.... they might reduce the charge,
        Good luck
