Re: Parking eye
What was the date of the parking and when did you receive the letter?
Is this for going over by 20 minutes or for going over a free 20 minutes ?
If it was the same car park as the newspaper article and you were shopping then go and complain to the manager of the shop and let them cancel it.
A copy of the Notice would be helpful, with personal details removed.

Re: Parking eye
If you were shopping then harangue the manager of the shop you were using.
The BPA code requires that operators give a MINIMUM grace period of 10 minutes at the end of parking to leave. There is a similar grace period at the beginning to read the signs and decide if you want to stay or not. The parking period is not the time between the photos as you were not parking at that time. In fact you may well have been parking for less than 3 hours, depends on how busy the car park was.

If you have receipts definitely appeal as they may cancel and the discount is only lost if you appeal to popla.

Re: Parking eye
Oh after I completed the online form it said
We endeavour to respond to all appeals as soon as possible. Whilst we consider an appeal the parking charge amount will not increase. Please note that a full written response may take up to 14 days.
Does that mean that it won't go up to £85 until after they reply to the appeal?
