Smartparking PCN - Matalan

Hi,

I'm wondering if somebody can help me?

My girlfriend received a PCN from Smartparking today as she was parked for 3.5 hours on a Matalan car park that had a 2 hour limit.

She was under the impression that the limit was 4 hours.

I have followed the advice from this forum up to now and have not contacted Smartparking and therefore have not told them who the driver was.

I have also asked her to call the store manager today to explain the situation and ask if it can be cancelled.

The fine is £85 reduced to £50. This is a free car park and don't how they can come up with this amount!

I am planning to appeal online and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can upload a copy of the PCN if needed.

Get her to take pics/video at the entrance and around the car park if she is going anyway.

Just got the following off google maps. Not the best image but you can clearly see that it states 2 hours.

Was it issued at the scene? Unless they've changed, Smart Parking's PCN/NTK are not POFA compliant. Search this site for Smart Parking and you'll find many similar cases.
For what it's worth this was my appeal to my NTK - I got a cancellation in response - it might give you some pointers....
