Advice please! MET Macdonalds parking charges

I received a pcn from MET for parking in macdonalds stansted for 81 mins.

i sent a standard letter appealing the charge on the charge. I have received a letter back from them today saying that I have been unsuccessful in my appeal and if I'd like to take it further I can appeal to popla but I will have to pay the full amount rather the. The 50% figure they have offered me if I make payment in the next 14days. I didn't read the signs, don't feel like I entered knowingly into a contract but am feeling intimidated by this letter. Any advice gratefully received.

Have you spoken to the manager ?

The odds are good at popla but not guaranteed.

It was dark, I don't know if the signs were illuminated, I certainly didn't see them. I asked them to provide evidence that the signs were illuminated but I just got a standard letter back with an illustration of the sign no mention of lighting.

I haven't spoken to the manager, I was under the impression there was little they could do, corporate macdonalds and all that... Would you advise this?

I would certainly speak to the manager, whilst the odds are low, it does sometimes work.

Unlit signs has won at popla before although it's not a guaranteed win.

Best to get pictures in the dark if at all possible. If not search the various threads to see if anyone else has posted them.
