Hello, I haven't posted on here before, so sorry if this should be posted elsewhere...
My husband and I both parked in Smart parking at Birchwood (Warrington) yesterday and got given parking tickets. Big notices in the car park say "max stay 3 hours (in white spaces". We parked for over 3 hours, but in red spaces, not in white spaces. So I don't think we should have been given tickets. Any thoughts? The tickets themselves say we were in red bays - it says: "in red bay no permit" - I have no idea what the permit refers to as a permit isn't mentioned on the parking signs.
Also, I tried to appeal online to Smart, but can't because neither reg number and PCN are recognised but the tickets were issued yesterday, so it seems slow if its waiting for their system to update.
I don't think we should have got tickets, but would rather pay £30 each now, than double the amount if we wait. If we are appealing, do we lose the chance to pay the smaller amount? Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Thank you
